Wilfrid is having sex with a beautiful girl when the phone rings : his estranged father has just died. This is the start of a journey of guilt and personal discovery. Wilfrid claims his father’s body and embarks on an unexpected journey which takes them to an unnamed country (Lebanon, Mouawad’s original homeland) where he wants to bury him "in order to reconcile the living and the dead." But the country is now a land of death and despair, ravaged by wars... An epic tale of war, exile and self-discovery from the hot playwright from Quebec, Wajdi Mouawad.
