Having appeared in our production of La Belle Hélène last season, Stéphanie d’Oustrac will be taking the leading role in Offenbach’s moving and droll La Périchole. Without renouncing the classy tomfoolery and rapid-fire pacing that made him such a success, in La Périchole Offenbach explores the highways and byways of sophisticated banter, and shapes his music to the whims and whimsies of the game of love.
