Quai d’Angers

In their Relache installation, Architect Pierre Lafon and actor-videographer Hiromi Kashiwagi will be interconnecting the cultural infrastructure of Théâtre Le Quai and its fluvial interface on the bank of the Maine river. This link will be established via a series of installed elements, some of which will be standalone installations, whereas others will be activated by theatrical, choreographic or audio inventions.

"The installation will be composed of evocative elements that awaken and stimulate our stance and presence vis-à-vis a non-pre-recorded reality." The "actors" in this piece will be water, decanted lemons, and birds. And as for the techniques, they will consist of traps, water in water, drifting and so on - thus allowing unpredictable nature and human inventiveness to commune in this elementary and organic variation.

Relâche will be an ever evolving installation whose various stages visitors will experience both during and after this Ponctuation event.
